Matt Peart, a first-generation farmer, has been certified in the field of organics for almost 30 years. Matt is a graduate, as well as a 32-year employee, of Ohio State ATI. Farming organically in the state of Ohio since 1989, he farms 500 acres in Northeast Ohio. During his 30 plus year tenure with the Farm Bureau, ten of those years were spent on the board and two as Chairman. Matt was recently elected as the Vice President for the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Districts and is Ohio’s Representative to the National Association of Conservation Districts. As part of the National Association of Conservation Districts, he serves on the Farm Bill Task Force as well as on the Stewardship and Education Committee.
