Mark Drewes
Biographical Info
We are a commercial size family farm. Drewes Farms Partnership consists of my wife (Melody) and my son Tyler (and his wife Whitni) and myself. We are at least a 6th generation farm. We farm 8200 acres of non-GMO corn and corn silage, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa. We are transitioning to a total non-GMO status. Many of our crops are raised for the specialty markets. We supply 2 large dairies with all their feed and handle 20 million gallons of dairy manure annually. We are in the WLEB and are very concerned with water quality in our watershed. I am a 1983 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a BSBA (finance). My wife and children are all BG grads and live and work close to our farm. I have been a full-time farmer since my college graduation. My wife and youngest son work at Marathon Petroleum in Findlay. Our daughter is in the medical field (I don’t know where to start on that one). We have 3 beautiful grandchildren. I am currently on the board of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association. I have been a board member and/or member of various organizations both currently and in recent years. I am currently trying to control outside activities so that we may travel more.
